TPS won the award for the installation of four pay by space terminals at the Village of Wilmette Metra station parking lot. The single space meters have been removed and now village staff needs only to collect a few pay stations rather than 400 parking meters.
The labor time saved is tenfold. Commuters will now have the ability to pay with coins, bills, and credit cards but also by way of phone/app through Passport Parking.
They have already seen that a small transaction fee does not discourage usage, with many taking advantage of the convenience.
