The Village of Forest Park has selected Total Parking Solutions, Inc to install Cale multi-space meters into their CTA commuter parking lot. The installation will consist of three Pay by Space terminals that will allow several forms of payment, including coins, bills, credit cards and a community parking debit card. The parking debit card will be sold at the commuter station via a card-dispensing unit with a preloaded value on the card. The customer will be able to reload value to the cards at the parking terminals or at the card-dispensing unit. This new Pay by Space system, which differs from the Pay & Display terminals at The CTA managed commuter lot to the south of the line, will greatly increase the efficiency of enforcement and provide a secure and accurate means of revenue collection. The terminals will also provide parking patrons with a system that operates as a "pay and board", instead of forcing the patron back to their car to place a receipt on their dashboard. The Pay by Space terminals will also provide a receipt for proof of payment and for expense and tax records.
